Perlman House
Perlman House is located in the main road of Sutherland. This beautifully restored house reflects the architecture and style of Sutherland’s olden days, whilst offering a luxurious self-catering option close to all the amenities in Sutherland.
It has history, charm and bustles to its own beat. One of the oldest buildings in town and around 150 years old it was home to Barnett Perlman a prominent Jewish merchant and his Polish wife, hence the name Perlman House. The original Origan wooden floors and window frames is still visible in some of the rooms and the old stone walls keep the home cool in summer.
In winter gather around one of the fireplaces to keep warm. Bring along some wood or buy at one of the local stores to keep the fires going in the cold.
We offer two (2) self-catering units where all expectations are exceeded with loads of caracter and attention to detail. We supply reading materials and board games. Private entrance with remote control gate and access to back yard where vehicles are parked safely. Outside fire pit area for late night drinks and talks.

Sleep 4 people in two bedrooms, King and Double beds. In the King bedroom is a large fireplace.

Originally “Nagmaalkamers” 150 years ago, now is our second cottage at Perlman House.

What is supplied: English Tea, Instant Coffee, coffee machine (bring own fi, ter coffee), grid, bin bags, dishwashing liquid, soap for hands, 2 rolls toilet paper, one bag of wood, bath towels, an extra warm blanket, beds are covered with a fitted sheet, duvet, electric blanket, 2 pillows per person.
What to bring: Hiking shoes, bicycle, binoculars, spices, food, drinks, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water bottle, insect repellent, backpack, books to read, games, music, filter coffee, toiletries, extra toilet paper, firelighters, lighter. There is a OK FOODS and OK Liquor in town. Extra wood can be bought at local stores. In Winter BRING WARM CLOTHES!!!
